Absolutely great experience all around. Food was phenomenal as always, staff was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was great. Very authentic german experience. A must stop

What a ! I have lived in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years and somehow never knew about Chef Klaus until now—I missed out. I would not expect a place inside a plaza to be able to create such an authentic German vibe, but they sure did. For many years, I have been doing my annual pilgrimage around Oktoberfest to Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights, but since Chef Wolfgang retired and sold the restaurant, unfortunately, the new owner decided to tweak some recipes. While it is still good, it's not the same. I'm really glad I stumbled onto this restaurant, as it's as good as it gets. Be careful! The portions are big enough to feed two or three adults; I felt like a child having to take home two-thirds of my meal. Will be back again with the rest of my Oktoberfest gang. BTW, the picture of the shank is my leftovers.

Excellent everything! Food choices are so much more than the website!

Best German restaurant ever ! David treated us like kings , the musical entertainment was legendary, and the food was out of this world -- especially the Rahmschnitzel, the Schnitzel cordon bleu, the Rotkraut, the warm German potato salad, and the potato pancakes. We can't wait to come back, and next time we're going to bring our German class.

This is an excellent restaurant that we will be visiting again! The food and service were superb, and they put a lot of effort into creating a nice atmosphere reminiscent of a German Essenhaus, from the servers' uniforms to the live music. The entrees are priced a little higher (20-25), but the portions are immense, nearly double of what you'd expect to receive. Two people can easily split an entree, though I enjoyed taking half home for another meal. The restaurant is very child friendly with children's food choices, high chairs, etc., and the gentleman providing the music had some cowbells that the kids could ring for a 1 tip. Our grandson got a big kick out of that. I highly recommend Chef Klaus' Bier Stube! Guten Appetit!

Great place for authentic German food, with German size portions. Overall, we shared several things, the various pork schnitzel were all good, potatoes with onions very good, but I didn't care for Rouladen. Krauts were very sour. Wait staff had very German attitude, would have been annoying somewhere else but it added authenticity here lol. Live music guy was funny.

We’ve been twice and we are Obsessed!! Portions are huge and delicious. Schnitzel with a mushroom sauce is fantastic as well as the pot roast. I literally dream about the mashed sweet potato, it’s out of this world. If you’re getting dessert, the German chocolate cake is the way to go! I don’t generally like German chocolate cake, but this one is special. We didn’t like the other desserts we got, but the entrees were all good.

Family style dinner for 4 was fabulous. It came with soup or salad, relish tray, German breads w/flavored butters, and the meats, cabbage/kraut, and taters pictured. We always enjoy our food here and this did not disappoint. Creme brulee was really good too.
